1. On your artist snapshot, identify relevant clusters...

a) On the Overview page, identify clusters that at first glance seem aligned with the desired global positioning for your artist and the music release you want to promote on META.

Look at the top artists, the top associated genres, the level of popularity and the degree of algorithmic connection (= similarity score) between each cluster and your artist.

b) On the Cluster Focus page, go into detail in the data associated with each cluster that you had defined as being potentially interesting to target.

Study these clusters one by one to know all the artists who are there and their characteristics (by generating the sample playlist to have a global idea of the music offered by the most influential artists of each cluster), discover the most represented musical genres, the type of Spotify playlists in which their music appears, the tracks in your catalog that are most often algorithmically recommended with those of the artists present in the specifically studied cluster...

c) On the Artist map section, analyze algorithmic proximities between clusters to assess their interdependence.

By consulting this section, you will have both an in-depth knowledge of the algorithmic connections established between your artist and his artist clusters, but also between the clusters themselves. This allows you to anticipate the indirect consequences behind the targeting of a particular cluster, depending on the more or less strong algorithmic connections that it has with the other clusters connected to your artist.

d) On the Audience builder section, analyze audience demographic behind each cluster you want to target, and definitively assess the relevance of each of them.

By filtering clusters through the drop down list, select the clusters that interest you and check all the demographic information to ensure their followers align with your target audience (age, gender, location, etc.)

2. ... then download the "current audience export" file related to the relevant clusters in order to find all the relevant artists and their associated Spotify profile pages

On the Audience builder section, click on the "Export current audience" button at the top right, then on "Yes, give me all links" so that the export is sent to your email address. This export contains all the data related to artists and audiences from the selected clusters.
